Hope you can give us some good advise what to do:
Our lovely 14 month-old daughter has been "kurad" when she was appr. 3.5 months old, no bigger problems until now when she got a flu appr. 2 weeks ago. It still has not gone totally over but it should not affect her sleep.
I wonder what happened because ever since the flu she has woken up in the middle of the night screaming and when I go to her room she is standing up and screaming. I put her back to bed, of course no lights, no worries, I put my hands on her back and she is silent, I leave right away with the jingle. As soon as she realises I'm leaving the room she starts screaming hysterically again. I go out of the room anyhow, say jingle x 4 and then go back to the room, put her back lying, "buffar", lay hands on her back and quickly leave the room with the jingle. She starts again, this goes on and on for an hour or 2 hours. She is soooo tired but keeps on resisting to calm down and being silent.
It could happen anytime between 11 and 4 o'clock in the morning. After this screaming period she sleeps tight till wake-up time. It seems that the jingle does not have the affect anymore it should and used to have.
We don't have the conversation, she does not listen to the jingle, no matter what my tone or volume is or the length of the jingle (x4, 6 or eight) .
I have checked my attitude and there should be no problem, I do not know what do I do wrong. We all are getting tired of the situation and hope to get back to the track very soon, waiting for your clever advise!
She has fixed schedule, 12 hours of night-sleep and 1.5 hours of day-time sleep, playing and walking outside and so on. What on earth is going on....
