Now that she's turned 11 months things are starting to fall apart. She still doesn't seem to be able to stay awake longer than 3 hours after waking in the morning so the morning nap is fine. I like to keep it short though so she sleeps a longer nap in the afternoon.
The problem is at night she has started to peep for a minute or two and then go back to sleep quite often. Often enough to wake me and my husband and try to fall back asleep again as hard as it can be. She wants to start waking earlier too. As well as she has begun to fight me during her afternoon nap and will wake up after only 30 minutes. But I can get her to go back to sleep again.
Am I making her sleep too much or spacing her naps far enough apart or are they too far apart? Here's her schedule:
6.30 wake
9.00 short nap 1 hour
13.00 long nap 1½ hours
7.00 bed
I have read throughout the forum that she needs about 14 hours a sleep at this age. Or is she maturing faster and needs only 13½? I'm uncertain and before I try to change her schedule I want to hear what others did when they neared the one year mark for their children.
thank you for your tips!
